Abstract
Борењето во многу култури се смета како суштински израз на машкоста и мажественоста. Сепак, последните истражувања во областа на родовите студии ја проблематизираат идејата за мажественоста, потенцирајќи дека таа идеја има неколку различни својства. Прегледувајќи ги филозофиите, репрезентациите и практиките околу машкото борење воопшто и пеливанското борење како спорт во Маке- донија, овој текст се обидува не само да ги илустрира различните идеи за мажест- веноста туку и да покаже како се изразуваат тие во рамките на оваа традиционал- на форма на борење.
