Abstract
вој текст се однесува на мојот личен процес на стекнување знаење како практикант во демократскиот развој, со акцент на моето лично искуство во Македонија од 2000 до 2002 година. Започнав со став дека значењето на поимот демократија не е фиксирано, туку дека има многубројни конструкции, зависно од локалниот контекст, и се впуштив во истражување на резултатите од таквите погледи во реалниот свет. Ќе докажам дека практикувањето на демократскиот развој најдобро може да се разбере како континуирано преговарање меѓу институционалните, идеолошките и личните стремежи што многу повеќе наоѓаат израз во она што е транзициски културен контекст отколку во она што не е. Читателите може да забележат дека коментарите не се држат до академскиот стил: тоа е лично изразување на впечатоци за кои се надевам дека ќе расветлат некои сомнежи вклучени во остварувањето на целта за проширувањето на демократијата преку културните граници.
