Abstract
По распаѓањето на социјалистичка Југославија, доминантниот „југословенски идентитет“ престана да постои кај повеќето од луѓето во Република Македонија. Наскоро, идентитетот се базираше врз пристапот до потрошувачките стоки. Како резултат на ова, се случи трансформација на секојдневниот живот и на основите на значењата. „Идентитетот“ ги предефинираше внатрешните и надворешните граници. Овој текст ги расветлува локалните динамики и глобалните сили на дезинтеграцијата на Југославија врз една група млади жени инженери во поранешната југословенска република Македонија во контекст на историските, политичките и економските процеси. Истражувањето врз кое се засновува овој текст е реализирано во периодот од 1988 до 1996 година.
